BPC-157 & TB-500 Research & Studies Guide
Discover the latest insights on BPC-157 & TB-500 research & studies: what it is, what has been studied and what the findings show.
BPC-157 & TB-500 Research Guide: What the Studies Show
BPC-157 and TB-500 are two of the most widely researched tissue-repair peptides. Almost all of the published evidence comes from cell and animal studies. MyPep Biotech supplies BPC-157 & TB-500 for laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.
What is BPC-157 & TB-500, and why are researchers studying it?
BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound-157) is a 15-amino-acid synthetic peptide based on a protein found in human gastric juice. TB-500 is a synthetic peptide based on the actin-binding region of thymosin beta-4, a protein found in almost every cell. Researchers study them for their roles in tissue repair, blood-vessel growth and cell migration.

The current state of BPC-157 & TB-500 research
- BPC-157: many rodent studies on tendon, ligament, muscle, gut and wound repair, much of it from one research group in Croatia.
- TB-500 / thymosin beta-4: animal and laboratory studies on wound healing, cell migration and heart tissue.
- Human research: very limited; controlled clinical trials are lacking for both.
What do BPC-157 & TB-500 studies show so far?
Animal studies have reported faster healing of tendons, muscles and gut tissue with BPC-157, and improved wound repair and cell migration with thymosin beta-4. These findings have not been confirmed in large human trials, and some reviews have raised questions about how well the animal results will translate.
Safety considerations and limitations
Human safety data is very limited for both peptides. Neither is a licensed medicine in the UK, and both are prohibited in sport under WADA rules.
How to read BPC-157 & TB-500 research without getting misled
- Check whether a result comes from cells, animals or people.
- Look at the study size, length and comparison group.
- Prefer peer-reviewed journals and trial registries over social media claims.
- Remember that early findings often do not carry over to later studies.
Bottom line for researchers
BPC-157 and TB-500 remain core tissue-repair research peptides with a mainly pre-clinical evidence base. MyPep Biotech supplies single vials, the Wolverine Stack vial and a BPC-157 + TB-500 pen from £24.99. For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.
